The Qolcom Scholarships at Northumbria University 2023

The Qolcom Scholarships aim to support highly gifted Nursing students at Northumbria University with a GBP 2,000 cash award during their first year of Undergraduate study. These scholarships are designed to enhance the overall university learning experience and are awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must be UK/Home students.
• Applicants must achieve at least 144 points (or equivalent) from their best three qualifications (e.g., AAA at A Level or DDD at BTEC).
• Applicants must have a household income of under GBP 40,000.
• Applicants must have a permanent residence in the North East of England.
• Applicants must apply and enroll to study on a Full-Time Undergraduate Nursing course at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus, starting in September 2023.
• Applicants must choose Northumbria as their firm choice by 08 June 2023.
• Applicants must meet all individual entry requirements.
• Applicants must be self-funded students.
• Applicants must apply for one or more elements of the Government Student Finance package and register with Student Finance England (SFE).
• Applicants must agree to share consent via their Government Finance Provider with Northumbria University.

Value of the Scholarship :

• The Qolcom Scholarship offers a GBP 2,000 cash award during the first year of Undergraduate study only.
• Payments will be made in three installments: 25% in November 2023, 25% in February 2024, and 50% in May 2024.

Application Process:

• There is no separate application form for the Qolcom Scholarship.
• Eligible students will be identified by Northumbria University post-enrollment.
• Selection will be based on academic achievement and the strength of the applicant's statement.
• Successful students will be notified by the end of October 2023.
