The OAS–Government of The Bahamas Scholarship Programme:

The OAS–Government of The Bahamas Scholarship Programme supports Bahamian students pursuing technical and academic studies at the graduate or postgraduate level.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants must be a Bahamian student.
  • The applicants must pursue technical or academic studies at the graduate or postgraduate level.
  • The applicants must apply for admission to the study areas and levels indicated by participating institutions and priority areas.
  • The applicants must apply for the National Tuition Assistance Scholarship.

Application process:

  • Apply through the OAS scholarship application portal and search for OAS/GOB.

Value of the Scholarship:

  • CAD 7,500 per annum from the Ministry of Education, for a maximum of four years.
  • One-time grant of CAD 1,000 from the OAS.
  • A 20%–100% tuition waiver or discount negotiated with participating partner institutions.
