Overview

Scholarship recipients will possess exceptional leadership potential in conservation, but they will not be able to finance their education via other means. Scholarship recipients from nations with abundant biodiversity but low financial resources will get special attention.

Eligibility for The Miriam Rothschild Scholarship in Conservation Leadership:

  • The applicant should be classed as an international student.
  • The applicant must come from a country in the global south.
  • The applicant must be enrolled in an MPhil in Leadership Conservation.
  • The applicant must continue full-time enrollment throughout the scholarship duration.

Application Process:

  • All eligible candidates must first apply for admission.
  • The candidates must write and submit a financial case (max. 200 words) to admin.conservationleadership@geog.cam.ac.uk explaining the funds that they have available and any further funds required to take up a place on the course.

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded a sum ranging from GBP 18,000 to GBP 52,000 annually.
