The Max Engel Memorial Law Bursary at the University of Northampton 2026:
The Max Engel Memorial Law Bursary supports a graduating undergraduate student at the University of Northampton who intends to undertake postgraduate study leading to a law-based career. In addition to the financial award, Max Engel and Co LLP offers the successful applicant the opportunity to undertake two weeks of work experience at its offices. This work experience opportunity is optional and is not a condition of accepting the bursary.
Eligibility Criteria for the Max Engel Memorial Law Bursary at the University of Northampton 2026:
- Applicant must be a final-year undergraduate student at the University of Northampton.
- Applicant must have completed at least 200 credits from the undergraduate Law Field module catalogue, equivalent to 10 × 20-credit modules.
- Applicant must intend to undertake postgraduate study leading to a law-based career.
- Applicant will be assessed based on their academic background.
- Applicant will be assessed based on their academic progress during their time at the University.
- Applicant's contribution to the life of the University and the Law Division will be considered.
- Applicant's difficulties or challenges overcome while obtaining their degree may be considered.
- Applicant may be assessed against other relevant criteria considered by the award panel.
Application Process for the Max Engel Memorial Law Bursary at the University of Northampton 2026:
- Applicant who is eligible to apply will be notified by the University and provided with details of how to apply.
- Applicant must complete the application process as instructed by the University.
- Applicant who is shortlisted must attend an interview.
- Applicant must provide evidence that they have commenced the further course of study that the bursary is intended to support.
- Applicant will receive the bursary funds only after providing the required evidence of commencement of further study.
- The interview panel, which is a Sub Committee of the Award Panel, will make a recommendation to the Award Panel.
