    Introduction: 

    The Lord’s Taverners Seawind Catamaran Indigenous Scholarship will support an Australian Indigenous student who is resident in northern New South Wales and are overcoming disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed at university study (either undergraduate or postgraduate).

    Eligibility requirement for The Lord’s Taverners Indigenous Knowledge Honours Scholarship at Southern Cross University:

    Enrolled into Bachelor of Indigenous Knowledge with Honours degree at Southern Cross University, where preference may be given to an indigenous student.

    Value of the scholarship:

    A AUD 7,000 For One Year award is available to support a full-time student

    Application Process:

    • Applicants must complete the general scholarship application and submit a 100–200 word introductory statement outlining their motivation for applying and future goals.
    • Applications are assessed based on eligibility, demonstrated hardship, and commitment to the Northern Rivers region.
    • The introductory statement (100–200 words) which includes why they are applying for the scholarship and what they hope to achieve in the future through the completion of their chosen degree.
    • Selected applicants are awarded a scholarship based on committee review of responses and supporting information.

    NOTE:

    Preference may be given to students whose research topic is in Aboriginal language, culture and heritage.
