Introduction:

The Karl McCarthy Prize is an annual award offered by University College Cork (UCC) to recognize outstanding academic achievement in food science. Established by the late Dr. Karl McCarthy of Biocel Ltd.,

Eligibility criteria for the Karl McCarthy Prize at University College Cork:

• The applicants must be current UCC students.
• The applicants must be enrolled in the eligible food science program.
• The applicants must achieve the highest mark in the FS4006 module.

Application Process:

• No application is required, and the students are automatically considered based on their academic performance.

Value of the Scholarship:

• EUR 635 is awarded to support a full-time student.
