The Global Voices Scholarship at the University of East Anglia

The Global Voices Scholarship at the University of East Anglia (UEA) is a prestigious, fully funded scholarship package valued at approximately GBP 20,000. It is awarded annually to one exceptional writer from the African continent to study an MA in Creative Writing.

Eligibility Criteria of The Global Voices Scholarship: 

1. Applicants must be nationals of, or born in, an African country, hold an offer for an eligible MA Creative Writing programme at UEA, and demonstrate exceptional creative writing talent along with genuine financial need.
2. Eligible courses include MA Creative Writing Prose Fiction, MA Creative Writing Non-Fiction, MA Creative Writing Scriptwriting, and MA Creative Writing Poetry.

Application Process:

This is an application-based scholarship. Candidates must complete a separate application form, which includes submitting a writing portfolio and demonstrating financial need.

Award: Approximately GBP 20,000, which is intended to cover full tuition fees and provide a maintenance grant (living expenses).

Note: The applicant cannot be in receipt of any other donor-funded scholarships/awards.
