The David Myers Research Scholarship 2020

The objective of The David Myers Research Scholarship 2020 to support and encourage students with excellent academic merit and possess an outgoing personality, enrolled to study at University.

Eligibility for The David Myers Research Scholarship 2020:

• The David Myers Research Scholarship 2020 is open to all nationalities.
• All the program-specific requirements must be met.
• The scholarship is open to outstanding individuals, regardless of discipline or nationality.
• The Applicant must have a Masters by research degree in a relevant discipline completed within the last ten years assessed at a La Trobe Masters by research standard of 70 or above, or
• A Bachelor (Honours) degree, Masters by coursework or ungraded Masters by research degree completed within the last ten years where you achieved a weighted average mark of 70 or above across any coursework subjects, and:
• The Applicant's degree must include a research thesis of 15,000-20,000 words.
• The Applicant's degree must include a written research component comprising at least 3/8 of one year.
• The Applicant's degree must be the lead author of a peer-reviewed publication or other research published within the last ten years.

Value of The David Myers Research Scholarship 2020:

• The successful applicants of The David Myers Research Scholarship 2020 will receive the following benefits-
• a top-up of A$5,000 per annum for two years full-time study for a Master’s degree, or three years full-time study for a PhD
• a research support grant of up to $3,000 per annum to assist with costs such as laboratory consumables, fieldwork, and attendance at conferences
• an allowance to assist with costs associated with the production of publications and costs of relocation to undertake the degree.
