Eligibility for Tentanda Via Award at the University of York:
- The applicant should have encountered major obstacles in their personal lives, and despite these difficulties have persisted and shown strength and resilience in conquering these obstacles to pursue a university education
- The applicant should be a student leader/changemaker who is pushing the boundaries by exhibiting dedication to progressive and sustainable development initiatives by making a difference regarding important issues of the day (either related to the Sustainable Development Goals ("SDGs") of the United Nations or other complex issues).
- Recipients must finish a minimum of 24 credits for Fall/Winter and maintain excellent academic standing (minimum 6.0 SGPA) to be eligible for renewal. In addition, the winners are required to provide evidence of their sustained participation in their original initiatives or proof of their active voluntary activity in the York or outside community.
