In 2020, the Sum, Wing, and Leong Fong Prize in Radiology was founded. The families of Fong and Franz, as well as Professor Kwun Fong, would like to pay tribute to the memories of UQ alumni Dr. Sum Fong, a radiologist who died away in 2017.
Eligibility for Sum, Wing, and Leong Fong Prize in Radiology at the University of Queensland:
- The applicant may come from any nationality.
- The applicant must be enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine program at the university.
- The applicant must either have a UQ Summer/Winter Research Scholarship or have completed a clinical rotation at The Prince Charles Hospital in the year of the award.
- The applicant must submit an application to The Prince Charles Hospital's Head of the UQ Northside Clinical Unit to be considered for the grant.
- The applicant is encouraged to present their study on radiology in a peer-reviewed departmental conference at The Prince Charles Hospital.
Value of the scholarship:
The winner will receive at least AUD 1,000
