SOAS International Academic Excellence Scholarship 2026:

The SOAS International Academic Excellence Scholarship is designed to recognise and support outstanding overseas applicants with excellent academic performance. The scholarship is available to eligible international students applying for full-time postgraduate taught programmes at SOAS University of London.

Eligibility Criteria for the SOAS International Academic Excellence Scholarship 2026:

  • Applicant must have an offer for a full-time postgraduate taught programme delivered on campus at SOAS.
  • Applicant must be an overseas fee-paying student.
  • Applicant must have achieved a UK Upper Second-Class Honours degree (2:1) or an international equivalent.
  • Applicant must meet the base eligibility criteria specified in the scholarship advertisement.  

Application Process for the SOAS International Academic Excellence Scholarship 2026:

  • Applicant must apply for a Master’s programme at SOAS University of London.
  • Applicant must receive an offer of admission for an eligible SOAS Master’s programme.
  • Applicant must apply for the scholarship through the SOAS admissions portal after receiving the offer.
  • Applicant must have applied for a SOAS course to receive the login credentials required to access the admissions portal.
  • Applicant must complete and submit the scholarship application through the portal within the announced application period. 

Value of the Scholarship:

  • SOAS will award up to 33 International Academic Excellence Scholarships to students from around the world.
  • Up to 25 scholarships provide a 100% tuition fee waiver.
  • Up to 8 scholarships provide a partial tuition fee waiver of £20,000.
  • The scholarship value therefore varies depending on the award received.

Notes:

  • For two-year programmes, the scholarship covers tuition fees for the first year only.
  • Applicants must meet the base eligibility criteria, and successful applicants were expected to be notified by the end of July 2026.
  • Applicants may apply for multiple scholarships or discounts but can use only one; awards cannot be combined, so applicants receiving multiple offers must choose the highest-value option.
