SOAS Grant at SOAS University of London 2026/27:
The SOAS Grant is designed to support academically outstanding applicants who demonstrate financial need and may require additional assistance to pursue their studies at SOAS. The grant is available to both Home and Overseas fee-status students commencing eligible undergraduate, Master’s, or MPhil/PhD programmes at SOAS in the 2026/27 academic year. It aims to help reduce the financial burden of tuition fees and, where applicable, provide additional support to successful recipients during their first year of study.
Eligibility Criteria for the SOAS Grant at SOAS University of London 2026/27:
- Applicant must have Home or Overseas fee status.
- Applicant must be a new student starting an eligible programme in the 2026/27 academic year.
- Applicant applying for an undergraduate programme must possess or expect to be awarded excellent grades in A levels or an equivalent qualification.
- Applicant applying for a Master’s programme must possess or expect to be awarded a First-Class Honours undergraduate degree from a UK university or an international equivalent.
- Applicant applying for an MPhil/PhD programme must possess or expect to be awarded a Master’s degree with Distinction from a UK university or an equivalent qualification.
Application Process for the SOAS Grant at SOAS University of London 2026/27:
- Applicant must submit an application for an eligible programme at SOAS.
- Applicant applying for an undergraduate programme must follow the SOAS undergraduate application process.
- Applicant applying for a Master’s programme must follow the SOAS taught Master’s application process.
- Applicant applying for an MPhil/PhD programme must apply through the SOAS Doctoral School.
- Applicant applying for a research programme must ensure that their application meets the requirements for a complete application.
- Applicant must submit the SOAS Grant application through the SOAS admissions portal.
- Applicant must have applied for a SOAS course to receive the login credentials required to access the admissions portal.
- Applicant must submit the scholarship application by 12 noon UK local time on 11 May 2026.

Value of the Grant:
- One scholarship is available.
- The grant is valued at GBP 24,000 in total.
- The grant is provided as a tuition fee waiver.
- Any amount remaining after tuition fees have been deducted is paid directly to the student in three instalments during the 2026/27 academic year.
- The grant is available for one year only at the full-time rate, or the part-time equivalent.
