Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants of SKA Africa Undergraduate and Honours Bursary Program, 2018 must be citizens of South Africa.
  • Applicants must either be currently studying or wish to study one of the following degrees:
    • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
    • Bachelor of Computer Engineering
    • Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
    • Bachelor of Mechatronic Engineering
    • Bachelor of Electronic Engineering
    • Bachelor of Science – Honours – Physics and Electronics / Astrophysics / Astronomy / Computer Science
    • Bachelor of Science in Physics and Electronics
    • Bachelor of Computer Science, with co-major in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics
    • Bachelor of Science in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics and Physics
    • Bachelor of Science – Honours – NASSP (National Astrophysics and Space Science Program)
  • Candidates applying for SKA Africa Undergraduate and Honours Bursary Program, 2018 must have obtained at least 70% in applied physics or mathematics in their grade 12 or an average of at least 60% at the undergraduate level.
