Sir John Anderson Memorial Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington 2025

Eligibility for Sir John Anderson Memorial Scholarship:

• Be New Zealand citizens, Permanent Residents, or hold a residence class visa to remain in New Zealand.
• Have achieved an NCEA Level 2 Certificate endorsed with Merit (or equivalent qualification).
• Be entering their first year of study and intending to enroll full-time in a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the Wellington School of Business and Government.
• Show evidence of:
  • Leadership qualities
  • Involvement in community, sporting, or cultural activities
  • Willingness to give back to the community
  • Strong academic merit
• Preference will be given to those majoring in Accounting, Commercial Law, or related Commerce disciplines.
• Applicants intending to enrol in a joint degree with a non-commerce subject are also eligible.

Application Process:

All eligible candidates must apply online to be considered for the scholarship. The application should include the following components:

• A personal statement outlining how they meet the criteria for the scholarship
• A CV of the applicant's prior education, employment, and interests
• A reference from their school’s head of commerce or another suitable teacher.

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded a scholarship of NZD 6,000 per annum.
