Eligibility for Science Global Ambassador Scholarships - India at the University of Queensland

  • The applicant needs to be an international student.
  • The student must be an Indian citizen and resident.
  • The student must be starting their first semester at UQ and enrolling in a UQ Faculty of Science program that has been authorized (minimum duration of one year). For a complete list of authorized programs, go to the Terms & Conditions.
  • By the scholarship deadline, the student needs to have fulfilled the requirements of your offer (you are not required to accept your offer in full by that date).
  • The students have to have a track record of excellence in their earlier coursework.

Selection criteria:

  • The academic standing of the student (as shown by the qualifications you provided when applying to the UQ Faculty of Science program)
  • The ability of the student to serve as a regional representative for science on a global scale (based on the personal statement you included in your scholarship application)
  • When reviewing a student's application, UQ supports diversity and inclusion, and this may be taken into account.

Application process:

Fill out the application online. The pupil is required to turn in: a 300-word personal essay showcasing your ability to advance research in your area as a global ambassador
