Science Deans Scholarship at UTS 2025

Overview:

To attract top achieving high school students to UTS undergraduate Faculty of Science degrees, and support them financially during their study.

Eligibility for Science Dean's Scholarship:

• Australian or New Zealand citizen, or the holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa; and
• Current school leaver; or gap year student, who graduated in the previous year where no tertiary study was undertaken in the gap year; and
• Academic excellence in the final year of high school (minimum ATAR of 95.0 or above, excluding bonus points)
• Have received an offer through UAC for a UTS Faculty of Science undergraduate degree (single or combined); and
• Intended full-time enrolment in a UTS Faculty of Science undergraduate degree

Selection process:

• Ranked in ATAR order, excluding bonus points.
• First UAC preferences to a UTS Faculty of Science undergraduate degree at the time of selection will be highly regarded.
• Candidates who have applied using the optional UTS online Elite School Leavers Scholarships Application form will be highly regarded.
  • Motivation to succeed in the chosen Faculty of Science degree program as demonstrated in the Scholarship application may be considered.
  • Demonstrated initiative in personal and professional life as demonstrated in the Scholarship application may be considered.

Application Process:

Recipients must remain enrolled full-time (minimum 18 credit points in Autumn and Spring) in an eligible UTS Science undergraduate degree. In specific circumstances, they may request approval for part-time study, with payments reduced accordingly. Recipients may transfer the scholarship to another UTS Science undergraduate program, but the scholarship duration will not be extended.
