Eligibility for the Sarawak Energy Scholarship program:

Pre-University / Foundation / A-Levels:

  • 21 years old or below at the time of application.
  • Minimum 8As in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM). Trial SPM results accepted for students taking SPM in 2024.
  • Must demonstrate leadership qualities, teamwork, and excellence in extracurricular activities/sports.
  • Not a recipient of any other scholarship/financial aid; no family member currently holds the Sarawak Energy Scholarship.

Undergraduate Programme:

  • 24 years old or below at the time of application.
  • Minimum 8As in SPM or 3.30 CGPA in STPM/Matriculation/Foundation/Diploma.
  • Strong leadership qualities, excellent team player, excels in extracurricular activities and sports.
  • Not a recipient of any other scholarship/financial aid; no family member currently holds the Sarawak Energy Scholarship.

Master’s Degree (Coursework Only):

  • 30 years old or below at the time of application.
  • Minimum 3.30 CGPA in Undergraduate Degree.
  • Electrical Engineering, Accounting, Finance.
  • Strong leadership qualities, excellent team player, excels in extracurricular activities and sports.
  • Full-time study only; not employed; not a recipient of other scholarships; no family member currently holds the Sarawak Energy Scholarship.

PhD / Doctoral Degree:

  • 30 years old or below at the time of application.
  • Minimum 3.30 CGPA in Undergraduate and/or Master’s Degree.
  • The proposal must be related to Sarawak Energy’s core business and ready during application.
  • Strong leadership qualities, excellent team player, excels in extracurricular activities and sports.
  • Full-time study only; not employed; not a recipient of other scholarships; no family member currently holds the Sarawak Energy Scholarship.
