About the Scholarship:

This new flagship initiative aims to break down barriers for students most likely to face challenges in higher education. It will provide funding to students through graduation and training opportunities to develop their potential and help them build brighter futures.

Eligibility for the Santander Universities Scholars Programme:

Applicants must:

Be 18 years or older
Be a current full-time undergraduate student at UWE Bristol
Be due to graduate in 2025
Qualify for Home Fee Status
Not receive more than £1,500 per year in external sponsorship (excluding university bursaries or government grants)
Self-identify as part of at least one under-represented group, such as:
- Low-income or low higher education participation areas
- Black, Asian, or minority ethnic backgrounds
- Mature students (21+)
- Disabled students
- Care experienced / carers
- Estranged students
- Gypsy, Roma, Traveller communities
- Refugees
- Military family background
