Applicants must:
- Hold Refugee or Asylum Seeker status and be currently living in the UK.
- Have applied for or received asylum through the UK Home Office OR be actively appealing a negative decision.
- Have come to the UK through recognised schemes such as:
- UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS)
- Afghan citizens Resettlement Scheme
- Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP)
- Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS)
- Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme (Homes for Ukraine)
- Ukraine Family Scheme
- Be located in the UK with Home or RUK fee status.
- Have a conditional or unconditional offer for full-time study at the University of Glasgow for 2026/27.
Value of Sanctuary Scholarships at University of Glasgow 2026:
- Full tuition fee waiver for the duration of study, where you are not eligible to apply for mainstream student finance to cover full tuition fees.
- £5,000 per year towards study costs.
