Overview

The main purpose of the prize is to recognize and encourage excellence in the study of insurance law.

Eligibility for Robertsons Prize in Insurance Law:

  • Be enrolled full-time or part-time in:
    • Bachelor of Laws (LLB), or
    • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) LLB(Hons).
  • Achieve the highest overall mark in one of the following courses:
    • LAWCOMM 424 Insurance Law (primary course), or
    • LAWCOMM 453 Aspects of Insurance Law, or
    • LAWHONS 734 Issues in Insurance Law (if LAWCOMM 424 is not offered).
  • Attain at least an A- grade as a minimum standard.

Value of Robertsons Prize in Insurance Law:

The value of the Prize will be $1,500.

Application process:

  • No application required.
  • Students are nominated to the Scholarships Office based on academic performance.
  • Final decision made by the University of Auckland Council upon recommendation of the Dean of Law.
