Overview

The main purpose of the Robert Riddell Heritage Prize is to recognize the student who produced the best work in the field of heritage in the School of Architecture and Planning in an academic year.

Eligibility for the Robert Riddell Heritage Prize:

  • A prize will be awarded annually to the student who achieved the highest mark in either URBPLAN 722 Heritage/Cultural Issues or HERCONS 700 Heritage Process, or an equivalent course, and who demonstrates an understanding of heritage and advances its preservation and conservation, as evidenced in the student’s coursework
    and tutorial participation

Application Process:

Students do not need to apply for this scholarship, award, or prize or complete an online application form. It is awarded on the recommendation of the relevant faculty or University of Auckland committee.

The value of the Robert Riddell Heritage Prize 2026 will be NZD 1,000.
