Robert Logan Memorial Grant at James Cook University 2026

Established in 1975 from a bequest from the estate of the late Dr. Robert Logan, Senior Lecturer in Biochemistry at the University from 1968 to 1973, the income derived from the bequest maintains the awards.

Eligibility for the Robert Logan Memorial Grant:

• Applicants may come from any nationality.
• Applicants can be full-time or part-time Honours or Postgraduate research students in the Academy, studying in the field of Biochemistry.
• Students must not be previous recipients of this grant.

Application Requirements:

All eligible candidates must apply online to be considered for the scholarship. The application should include the following components:

• A written statement detailing the funding's purpose and intended use,
• A statement naming the primary and secondary supervisors,
• A detailed budget that entails the details of the anticipated costs.
• Curriculum vitae,
• A copy of their academic record. 

Value of the Grant:

Up to AUD $14,000 per year (amount decided by Selection Committee)

• Travel to biochemistry conferences/meetings
• Travel to other Australian universities for research collaboration
• Purchase of essential research equipment/materials
