Robert G. McGruder Scholarship in Journalism and Communication

This scholarship fund was established in 1984. Robert McGruder graduated from Kent State University in 1963 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. 

Eligibility criteria -

• The applicant must be an Undergraduate student and be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours).
• They must be a Sophomore, Junior or non-graduating Senior student at the time the award is distributed.
• They must secure minimum 2.75 GPA
• They must be enrolled in the Journalism major in the School of Media and Journalism, College of Communication and Information.

Application process -

• The applicant must surpass all the additional requirements the University sets for admission.

Note -

1. Preference for students involved with the E. Timothy Moore Student Multicultural Center
2. The fund will support the following expenses related to the recipient’s academic success: Tuition and Fees, Room and Board, Books and Supplies.
