Overview

This scholarship has been created through a bequest of AUD 20,000 under the will of the late Robert Edward Leslie Macmillan, who was a Fitter and Turner from Brisbane. He passed away in September 1970.

Eligibility Criteria for Robert and Mary Macmillan Bursary at University of Queensland 2026:

  • Applicants must demonstrate financial hardship.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in:
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/ Master of Engineering or
    • dual engineering program
  • Applicants should have completed between 28 and 44 units towards their Approved Program and must be at least 23 years old in the year the bursary is awarded.

Value of the scholarship:

The scholarship value will be equivalent to half of the annual income generated from the endowment.
