Rideout Memorial Bursary

The Rideout Memorial Bursary was established by family, friends, and colleagues to honour John Rideout, Chair of the English Department from 1964 to 1980. 

Eligibility criteria for the Rideout Memorial Bursary:

  • Applicants must be full-time graduate students.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in an English program.
  • Applicants must demonstrate financial need and satisfactory academic standing.
  • Applicants must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants.
  • Applicants must have lived in Ontario for at least 12 consecutive months.

Application process for the Rideout Memorial Bursary:

  • Eligible applicants are automatically considered based on their completed General Application.
  • The Department of English will forward their recommendations to the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
