Eligibility Criteria for the Rick and Yasmin Thorpe and Friends Award for Secondary School Graduates at Okanagan College 2026:
- Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Applicant must have graduated or be graduating from a secondary school located in Penticton, Summerland, Oliver, Osoyoos, Keremeos, or Princeton.
- Applicant must be entering full-time study, with a minimum 80% course load, in an eligible programme at any Okanagan College campus.
- Eligible programmes include Business, Viticulture, Agriculture, Sciences, Nursing, Computer Sciences, Engineering and Engineering Technologies, Tourism and Hospitality, English, or Creative Writing.
- Applicant must demonstrate financial need, good academic standing with a minimum 70% GPA, and leadership potential.
- Applicant must demonstrate community involvement through sports, cultural activities, voluntary service, or other extracurricular activities.
