Eligibility for Reverend Canon Alvin J. Thomson and Mrs. Violet Thomson Memorial Bursary:

  • Two full-time undergraduate students in any year of study
  • Must have completed a course in Religious Studies or intend to complete one within the forthcoming academic year or,
  • Two full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Social Work or Gerontology
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Preference given to students who:
    • Graduated from a City of Thunder Bay high school
    • Are active in a local church or intend to pursue a career in Church Ministry
  • Applicants must provide a letter from a minister or priest confirming their interest in or calling to ministry
