Renu Sharma Scholarship in Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Western Australia 2026

Introduction: 

The Renu Sharma Scholarship in Astronomy and Astrophysics is a coursework scholarship offered through the University of Western Australia (UWA) node of the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR). It is designed to support and encourage high-achieving female and/or Indigenous students to undertake the Astronomy and Astrophysics specialisation of the Master of Physics.

Eligibility requirements for the Renu Sharma Scholarship in Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Western Australia:

• Applicants must be a female student or an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
• Have applied for or be enrolled in one of the following: Master of Physics or Combined Bachelor of Science (Frontier Physics) and Master of Physics, and have completed at least 96 points of undergraduate study.
• Have an ICRAR staff member as the primary supervisor for their research project component.

Value of the Scholarship:

A full-time student will be awarded AUD 10,000.
