Ralph & Eve Seelye Undergraduate Scholarship

The Ralph & Eve Seelye Undergraduate Scholarship was established in 2014 and is funded by the Ralph & Eve Seelye Charitable Trust and provides support to school leavers from high Equity Index number schools who have the potential to succeed at the University of Auckland.

Eligibility Criteria for the Ralph & Eve Seelye Undergraduate Scholarship:

The applicant must:

• Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• Be in the last year of study at a decile 1-3 school or kura.
• Intend to enroll in a full-time undergraduate degree at the University of Auckland next year.
• Māori and Pacific applicants may also be considered if enrolling in the Certificate in Health Sciences with plans to progress to an undergraduate degree in the second year.

Selection Criteria for Ralph & Eve Seelye Undergraduate Scholarship:

• Financial Need: assessed based on the applicant’s financial situation.
• Motivation to Succeed: Evaluated through a personal statement and community reference.
• Academic Ability: Based on results at NCEA Level 2 or higher, or an equivalent qualification.

Value of the Ralph & Eve Seelye Undergraduate Scholarship:

Up to ten scholarships, each valued at up to $6,000 per year, will be awarded annually to students for the duration of their first undergraduate degree at the University of Auckland.

Application Process:

Scholarship applications will usually open around six weeks before the closing date.
