Rachael Westergaard Memorial Masters Scholarship in Geophysics 2024

History and purpose:

In honor of Rachael Westergaard, who attended Victoria University of Wellington from 2009 to 2012, this scholarship has been established. The purpose of the award is to inspire students to pursue geophysics, a subject that Rachael was extremely interested in. It is possible for citizens of Canada or New Zealand, as well as permanent residents, to acknowledge Rachael's dual citizenship The goal of this scholarship is to inspire students to pursue geophysics, a subject that Rachael Westergaard had a strong interest in.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria for Rachael Westergaard Memorial Masters Scholarship in Geophysics:

• Students should be undertaking research leading to a Master of Science degree in Geophysics (Solid Earth Geophysics or Meteorology).
• Applicants must be enrolled in a 90-point or 120-point thesis.
• A student doing research for a Master of Science in Geophysics (Solid Earth Geophysics or Meteorology) may be eligible for one scholarship per year.
• Candidates have to be enrolled in a thesis course of 90 or 120 points.
• Applicants must be enrolled in Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington's 90- or 120-point Master of Geophysics program with a thesis (Solid Earth Geophysics or Meteorology).
• Candidates must be citizens of Canada, New Zealand, or permanent residents.
