Overview

Professor Robert Solomon's legacy provides funding for the Award, which was created in 2010. The Award's principal goal is to support a deserving graduate of the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Philosophy program at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland who has chosen to pursue additional postgraduate studies in Philosophy.

Eligibility for Professor Robert Solomon Memorial Award:

  • This scholarship is open to all students (domestic and international).
  • The candidate must have previously graduated from Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree (BA(Hons)).
  • The candidate must be enrolled in an MA or PhD program in philosophy at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland's Faculty of Arts.

Selection Criteria:

  • Application is made to the Scholarships Office
  • A Selection Committee assesses the applications
  • The Award is made by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of the Selection Committee
