Prof. Morris R. Lewenstein Memorial Scholarships at San Franciso State University 2024

The purpose of the Lewenstein Scholarship is to financially assist promising SF State students who are pursuing a major in the social sciences.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree at SFSU.
• Applicants must required to score at least 12-6 units in Undergraduate and 8-6 units in Graduate.
• Applicants must demonstrate financial need through the submission of a statement of financial need.

Eligible Majors: 

Anthropology; Child and Adolescent Development; Counseling; Economics, (Ethnic Studies)=Africana Studies, American Indian Studies, Asian American Studies and Latina/o Studies; (FINA)= Family Interiors, Nutrition and Apparel; Geography; Health Education; History, International Relations, Labor and Employment Studies; (PACE)= Criminal Justice, Environmental Studies, Gerontology, Public Administration, Urban Studies, Political Science, Psychology, Recreation, Parks and Tourism; Social Work; Sociology/Sexuality Studies and Gender Studies.

Value of the Scholarship:

Successful applicants will receive an award of the value of $2,500.00
