President's Scholarship of Distinction at the University of Waterloo 2026

The University of Waterloo President's Scholarship of Distinction recognizes exceptional academic achievement by providing an entrance scholarship and additional funding opportunities for eligible first-year undergraduate students.

Eligibility for President's Scholarship of Distinction at the University of Waterloo 2026:

• Applicants must receive an offer of admission to a full-time, first-year undergraduate degree programme.
• Applicants must be starting university or college for the first time in September.
• Applicants must achieve an admission average of 95% or higher, calculated using the required admission courses.
• Applicants must accept their Offer of Admission by the specified deadline.
• Applicants must remain enrolled in full-time degree studies throughout the September–December term.

Application Process for President's Scholarship of Distinction at the University of Waterloo 2026:

• No separate scholarship application is required.
• Eligible applicants are automatically considered when they apply for admission at the University of Waterloo.

Value: up to CAD 2,000

Note:

The University of Waterloo President's Scholarship of Distinction includes three separate award components:

• Entrance Scholarship - CAD 2,000
• International Experience Award - CAD 1,500 
• Research Award - CAD 1,500 

The International Experience Award and Research Award may be claimed during the upper years of study, subject to the University's eligibility conditions.
