The Presidential Scholarship Program recognizes incoming freshmen who demonstrate outstanding achievement, good citizenship, strong leadership, and exceptional scholarship during high school. Presidential Scholarships are awarded at three different levels and are renewable over four years, as long as renewal GPA requirements are met.

Application process:

  • The applicant's undergraduate admission application serves as their Presidential Scholars application.
  • Applicants must submit official SAT or ACT scores from the College Board to be considered for the Presidential Scholars Program.
  • For full consideration under the Presidential Scholarship Program or High Point Scholars, students must submit their application for admission by November 15.

Presidential Founders Scholarship:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Average GPA: 4.0 (unweighted)
  • Average SAT: 1550 (Math & CR)
  • Average ACT: 34
  • These students also graduated in the top 5 percent of their class
  • Value of the Scholarship: $40,000-Full Tuition

Presidential Fellowships:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Average GPA: 3.8 (unweighted)
  • Average SAT: 1363 (Math & CR)
  • Average ACT: 29
  • These students also graduated in the top 10 percent of their class.
  • Value of the Scholarship: $12,000-$20,000.

Presidential Scholarships:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Average GPA: 3.58 (unweighted)
  • Average SAT: 1235 (Math & CR)
  • Average ACT: 25
  • Value of the Scholarship: $10,000-$17,000.

High Point Scholarships:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Average GPA: 3.26 (unweighted)
  • Average SAT: 1157 (Math & CR)
  • Average ACT: 23
  • Value of the Scholarship: $5,000-$10,000 per year
