Overview

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, is offering a Post-Matric Scholarship for ST Students - Andaman and Nicobar 2025–26 to ST students enrolled in Class 11 and above. The scholarship program seeks to support students financially while they pursue post-matriculation or post-secondary education. In addition to other advantages, the chosen individuals will get a maintenance allowance of up to INR 1,200.

Eligibility Criteria for Post-Matric Scholarship for ST Students - Andaman and Nicobar 2025/26:

  • Students need to be a domicile of Andaman and Nicobar.
  • Students should belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
  • Students must be studying at post-matriculation or post-secondary level (i.e. Class 11 to Ph.D. level).
  • Students should have passed matriculation or higher secondary or any higher examination of a recognized University or Board of Secondary Education.
  • Students must have an annual family income of less than INR 2,50,000.

Value of the scholarship:

up to INR 1,200 per month

Note:
Leprosy-cured students who also have sickle cell anemia or thalassemia will be eligible to receive the disability allowance.
