Postgraduate Access and Equity Scholarship
The Postgraduate Access and Equity Scholarship is provided by Murdoch University, and it provides support and incentive for postgraduate students from a background of hardship to continue their education at the university.
Eligibility criteria of the Postgraduate Access and Equity Scholarship:
- The applicant must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident with a Humanitarian Visa, or a Permanent Resident who has been in Australia continuously for the last 12 months.
- The applicant must be a postgraduate student at the university.
- The applicant must demonstrate that they are experiencing financial hardship.
- The applicant must intend to enrol in an eligible postgraduate level course such as a Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Master's by Coursework.
- The applicant must not be enrolled in a Commonwealth HECS-supported postgraduate course such as the Master of Teaching or Master of Applied Psychology in Clinical Psychology.
Application process for the Postgraduate Access and Equity Scholarship:
- This scholarship opens for applications from the first week of September each year.
- The applicant must provide evidence of financial hardship.
- The applicant must provide evidence of personal hardship.
- The applicant must provide a statement of no more than two A4 pages addressing what their living arrangements are in terms of dependents and people who support them.
- The applicant must provide a statement of no more than two A4 pages addressing unusual circumstances of hardship that they have experienced that have impacted their ability to study, if any.
- The applicant must provide a statement of no more than two A4 pages addressing their personal and career goals.
- The applicant must provide a statement of no more than two A4 pages addressing how the scholarship will assist them in achieving their personal and career goals.
- The applicant must save all files and name them with their surname, first name initial, and date.
