Overview

Objective:

This scholarship is to support an enrolled graduate research student who demonstrates research potential and intends to undertake a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in asthma research.

Eligibility for the Picchi Brothers Foundation Scholarship:

  • Students need to be Australian citizens or permanent residents.
  • Students should have applied for and met the entry requirements for Doctor of Philosophy – Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences in the field of asthma research.
  • Students should have a registered principal supervisor in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences.
  • Students should not have completed a Doctor of Philosophy or held a graduate research scholarship previously.

Selection Criteria:

  • Eligible applicants will be selected based on academic merit and commencing their PhD research in the field of asthma.
  • The selection committee will base its assessment on the application form, academic transcripts, the faculty scholarship score, and the student's project proposal, CV, and referee reports.

Application Process:

All applicants who submitted their applications by the specified deadline for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences Round 2 will be automatically evaluated for this scholarship.

Value of the Scholarship:

This scholarship provides a fortnightly stipend with a rate of $50,000 per year (full-time student rate) for 3.5 years.
