PhD Studentships at The Open University Business School 2026

The Open University Business School is offering PhD studentships for the year 2026. The selected candidates would undertake their PhD studies in the Milton Keynes campus. The studentships are fully funded and the research topics should be based on the topics provided by the university.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants can be of any nationality.
• Applicants should have minimum qualifications of an upper second class honors degree 2:1 or the equivalent.

Application Process:

• Interested candidates must submit the online application.
• The application should include the following documents:
  • A research proposal ranging between 1,000 and 2,000 words.
  • A cover letter.
  • Copies of degree certificates and transcripts relevant to the application.
  • Candidates must submit the English Proficiency Test proof if and when requested by the university. (The certificates must not be older than 2 years and be approved by UK Visas and Immigration)

• The selected candidates are awarded the following benefits:
  • Tuition fees
  • A stipend of GBP 20,780 yearly.
  • A research training support grant is allocated to all students accepted into the program to cover research-related costs including fieldwork.
