Eligibility Criteria for the PhD Studentships by Fight For Sight 2025:

  • The applications for PhD Studentships should be made by Ph.D. supervisors.
  • The supervisors must be affiliated with academic or medical institutions in the UK.
  • Lead supervisors must have a PhD or MD and have a tenured post or demonstrate that they will have a salary for the lifetime of the grant.
  • The research must take place within the UK, but with the right justification, the candidates can travel abroad for a short time.
  • Applicants must check if the proposed research studentship is more suitable for the UKVRN Doctoral Training Programme.

Application Process:

  • Applications must be made by Ph.D supervisors.
  • Applications must be submitted via the Fight for Sight / Vision Foundation’s Grant Tracker system.
  • Applications must be approved by two authorised signatories of the host institution (Head of Department and Finance Office).
