PhD Scholarships in Green Cryptocurrency Technologies at RMIT University 2024-25

The CloudTech-RMIT Green Cryptocurrency Joint Research Program/Laboratory is offering PhD scholarships to support the development of the upcoming Proofs of Space-Time (PoST) consensus protocols for massively distributed green cryptocurrency platforms.

Eligibility criteria:

To be eligible, applicants must:

• Have a Master by Research degree, or
• Have a Master by Coursework degree with a significant research component graded as high distinction or equivalent, or
• Have an Honours degree achieving first-class honours in Computer Science.
• Applicants with research and/or industry experience in building distributed systems/applications will be preferred.

• CV clearly outlining experience in developing distributed systems/applications; also important to list any publications, awards, and relevant professional experience.
• Cover letter briefly outlining interest in the project.
• Academic Transcript of Undergraduate and Postgraduate.
• English language proficiency test result (for international applicants)

Benefits:

Eligible applicants will get a scholarship of $32,841 per annum for three years with the possibility of a six-month extension, and successful international applicants will be provided with a tuition fee waiver.
