Postgraduate International Scholarship

Northumbria International Scholarship, awarding Postgraduate Taught (PGT) students domiciled in Nigeria and joining in September 2025 or January 2026, with a £6,000 fee discount, simply for choosing to study with us.

Eligibility criteria for the Postgraduate International Scholarship 

• Be an international student with ‘Overseas’ fee status
• Be domiciled in Nigeria
• Be a self-funded student (not in receipt of any sponsorship)
• Be accepted and enrolled in a full-time postgraduate taught course at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus, starting in September 2025 or January 2026 (**see exclusions on the official website**)
• Meet all individual course requirements

Application process:

• The International Scholarship is applied automatically as a fee discount, so you do not need to make a separate application
• Students on an Advanced Practice or Study Abroad Masters who transfer to the non-Advanced Practice or non-study Abroad route more than four weeks after the start of their course will not be eligible for the International Scholarship

Award:

• A GBP 6,000 tuition fee discount is awarded to support a full-time student.
