The Perry Michael Shawana Bursary at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) supports undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need and academic proficiency, while encouraging career goals that contribute to the advancement of First Nations and Aboriginal people.

Eligibility Criteria for the Perry Michael Shawana Bursary at the University of Northern British Columbia 2026:

• Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time undergraduate student at UNBC.
• Applicants must have completed at least 30 credit hours.
• Applicants must have a declared major in an eligible program.
• Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
• Applicants must demonstrate academic proficiency.
• Applicants must indicate how their career goals relate to the advancement of First Nations and Aboriginal people.
• Applicants must note that the bursary may be awarded more than once to successful applicants.
