    Partners Life Actuarial Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington

    The Partners Life Scholarship supports students pursuing studies in actuarial science, finance, or related fields, reflecting the company’s commitment to developing future leaders in life and health insurance. The scholarship aims to provide opportunities for students to gain insights into pricing, valuation, capital management, and business strategy, with potential connections to career opportunities at Partners Life’s Wellington and Takapuna offices.

    Eligibility Criteria: 

    1. Applicants must be current undergraduate or postgraduate students at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, studying Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
    2. For BSc or BCom students, applicants must be in their second year or later, majoring in Actuarial Science and intending to complete the major.

    Selection Criteria: Applicants must be current undergraduate or postgraduate students at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, studying Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, with BSc or BCom students in their second year or later, majoring in Actuarial Science and intending to complete the major.

    Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.

    Award: NZD 7,500.

    Deadline: 15th October, 2025.

    Note: 

    1. Student must write a thank you letter to the donor within one month of receiving the scholarship and an end of year progress report.
    2. The current years tertiary fees will be paid to the candidate up to the value of $5,000 to $7,500 for the 2025 round (and onwards).
    3. The successful recipient may also be offered an internship at Partners Life over the summer break, subject to business requirements to be arranged directly with Partners Life.
    4. The Scholarship cannot be deferred to a later year.
    5. The Scholarship may be held in conjunction with other awards.
