The OC Indigenous Students Bursaries provide financial support to Indigenous students pursuing full-time studies at Okanagan College. The bursaries are available across a broad range of university studies, degree, diploma, certificate, and Adult Basic Education programmes.

Eligibility Criteria for the OC Indigenous Students Bursaries at Okanagan College 2026:

  • Applicant must have Indigenous ancestry (First Nation, Métis, and/or Inuit).
  • Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Applicant must be enrolled full-time in an eligible University Studies, degree, diploma, or certificate programme at any Okanagan College campus, including Adult Basic Education.
  • Applicant must meet the applicable full-time course load requirement of 9 credits (60%) or 6 credits (40%) for students with a permanent disability. Students registered in AACP must take at least 3 courses or 15 hours of instruction per week.
  • For current or returning students, applicant must demonstrate financial need and academic achievement, with emphasis on academic achievement.
  • For new students, applicant must demonstrate financial need.

  • Submit the All Campus Entrance or Returning Application online through myOkanagan.
  • Recipients are selected by Financial Awards.

Value of the Bursary:

  • 65 awards of up to CAD 750 each are awarded to the recipients.
