The OC AU Academic Recognition Scholarship for Indigenous Students recognises Indigenous students in Okanagan College’s Adult Basic Education (ABE) programmes who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement.

Eligibility Criteria for the OC AU Academic Recognition Scholarship for Indigenous Students at Okanagan College 2026:

  • Applicant must have Indigenous ancestry, including First Nation, Métis, or Inuit ancestry.
  • Applicant must have completed a semester of full-time study in an eligible ABE certificate programme at Okanagan College.
  • Applicant must achieve the highest grade average after the Fall or Winter term, with a minimum term average of 65%.
  • Applicant must be enrolled in an eligible programme, including
    • ABE Advanced Certificate
    • ABE Fundamental Certificate
    • ABE Intermediate Certificate
    • BC Adult Graduation Diploma
  • Applicant must meet the applicable preference criteria, with preference given to students who have been offered admission to or admitted to a full-time Okanagan College programme, are enrolled in a subsequent semester, or have the highest grade average in Advanced and/or Provincial level courses (080, 011, 012).
