Northern Rivers Community Foundation SCU Bowen Education Fund Scholarship 2026

Introduction: 

This scholarship is funded jointly through the Northern Rivers Community Foundation and Southern Cross University and has been awarded to one or two recipients every year since 2009.

Eligibility requirement for Northern Rivers Community Foundation SCU Bowen Education Fund Scholarship at Southern Cross University :

• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident living in the Northern Rivers region (Tweed Heads, Lismore, Byron Bay, Ballina, Grafton, etc.).
• Must demonstrate financial hardship or disadvantage.
• Must show commitment to the local community through contributions to school and/or community activities, along with a strong scholarship application statement.
• Applicants are strongly encouraged to also apply for the SCU Equity Scholarship.

Value of the scholarship:

A AUD 2,500 for One year is awarded to support a full-time student

• When ready, open the application form, fill in your details carefully, draft your responses, and proofread before submitting. Most scholarships require only one application.
• After submission, you will receive a confirmation email. Your application will then be assessed, and merit-based scholarships may be automatically considered as part of your study application where applicable.
