Eligibility

  • Applicants must hold a Masters degree with merit in a related area of study.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of Merit in their dissertation as well.
  • Initially, the admissions to the research program will be for the MPhil, but the candidates will be expected to transfer to the Ph.D. program at an appropriate time.
  • Applicants are required to submit a 5,000-word essay on some of the works of Niki Marangou. 
  • The essay should be suitable for publication on the Niki Marangou website.
  • Candidates are expected to mention the support of the award in the form of acknowledgment on the title page of their thesis and in any publications in the future. 

Value: The value of the Niki Marangou Translation Prize is £500. Participants select two full pages from any of the published works by Niki Marangou to translate, whether from her poetry collections or her prose works.
