Newcastle University is inviting applications for Country-specific scholarships for masters students. Applicants must hold a Conditional or Unconditional offer of a place on a Master’s degree programme at Newcastle University, Newcastle city campus at the time of applying for this scholarship.

Eligibility: Applicants must:

  • Must hold a Conditional or Unconditional offer of a place on a Master’s degree programme at Newcastle University, Newcastle city campus at the time of applying for this scholarship.
  • You must have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes.
  • You must intend to register to start your studies during the 2016- 17 academic year.
  • You must be a self-funded student and not be in receipt of any other centrally awarded Newcastle University scholarship.

Scholarship value: Scholarship value varies.

  • ASEAN Scholarships: £3,000 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
  • Brazil Scholarships: £5,000 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
  • China Scholarship: £2600 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
  • Turkey Scholarships: £5,000 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
  • East Africa Postgraduate Scholarships: £3,500 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
  • Pakistan Scholarships: £4500 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
  • Nigeria Scholarships; £5,000 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
  • Russia Scholarships: £2500 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
  • Ghana Scholarships: £3,500 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
  • North America Scholarships: £2500 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
  • MENA Scholarships: £4,000 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
  • East Asia Scholarships: £2600 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
  • India Scholarships and GREAT – Newcastle University Scholarships: £3,000 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.

Newcastle University (Officially, the University of Newcastle upon Tyne) is a public research university located in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North-East of England. The university can trace its origins to a School of Medicine and Surgery (later the College of Medicine), established in 1834, and to the College of Physical Science (later renamed Armstrong College), founded in 1871. These two colleges came to form one division of the federal University of Durham, with the Durham Colleges forming the other. The Newcastle colleges merged to form King's College in 1937. In 1963, following an Act of Parliament, King's College became the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
