New York State Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Incentive Program at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) 2026

Eligibility criteria -

• The New York State Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Incentive Program is available to the top 10% high school graduates from New York State who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in a STEM field.

To qualify, students must:

• Be a New York State resident.
• Pursue a STEM degree at an undergraduate program within the State University of New York (SUNY) system.
• Agree to work in a STEM field in New York State for five years after graduation.

Application Process

• To apply for the NYS STEM Incentive Program, students must:
• Complete and submit the NYS STEM Incentive Program Application.
  Print the Application Confirmation, sign it, and submit it along with any required documentation.

Value/Benefits

• The STEM Incentive Program provides full-tuition coverage for students attending a SUNY institution, up to the annual tuition charged, or the actual tuition charged, whichever is less.
• The scholarship is contingent upon the student working in a STEM field in New York State for five years after graduation.
