Overview

The fellowships are being offered through Pontica Magna Program. The Pontica Magna Program is being sponsored by the VolkswagenStiftung and is conducted in cooperation with Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants of New Europe College Fellowship Program, 2017 must be from Moldova, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, and Turkey although other post-Soviet countries may also be taken into consideration.
  • Doctoral students at an advanced research level or those who received a Ph.D. title can apply.
  • Candidates below 40 years of age will be given preference.
  • Writers, journalists, artists and media professionals can also apply for New Europe College Fellowship Program, 2017. In such cases a Ph.D. degree is optional but would be considered beneficial is available.
  • Candidates applying for New Europe College Fellowship Program, 2017 can submit a CV with their achievements in the chosen activity in case of an absence of a Ph.D. degree.
  • The following documents must be submitted:
    • A recent photo
    • Application form in doc format filled in English/French/German
    • Proof of enrollment in Ph.D. program/ proof of Ph.D. title (optional for Writers, journalists, artists and media professionals)
    • CV with list of achievements, sample of previous work, project proposal (for Writers, journalists, artists and media professionals with no Ph.D. degree)
    • Portfolio (for artists)
    • A minimum of 2 original letters of reference in English/French/German
